Accomplishments

  • Employability Award - Gold award, I gained this award during my studies and achieved the Gold award which is the highest level. The promise for the programme was part of the Northampton Employment Promise, having been established after the university's constant work with employers to develop an effective programme for students to benefit from when applying to jobs post-graduation. This programme has made me confident in my investment of money and time for my degree as it showed me how my skills gained during my degree are applied in relevant jobs I was interested in post-graduation. The programme allowed me to see my growth during completion and allowed me to reflect on my idea of a successful career.
  • Social Committe - Shortly after starting at Ward and Rider, I joined the Social Committee, responsible for organising events to reward staff for their hard work throughout the financial year. These included an End of Financial Year Lunch, a Summer Office Day Out, a Departmental Lunch, and a Christmas Dinner. Working within the company’s set budget and established third-party relationships, we successfully pitched ideas to employees and management, creating memorable experiences. We considered venue preferences and dietary requirements to ensure inclusivity, and each event was a success. Feedback was gathered from both attendees and non-attendees to identify areas for improvement.
