· Project Management of small, medium, and large projects
· Develop standard methods of producing products by utilising findings
from research, knowledge of the product, expense information and
company goals
· Create specifications for new equipment, ensuring they meet the
Performance, Quality and financial targets required.
· Implement the necessary level of industrialisation to ensure
error-proofing, process sequence/integrity and capability.
· Lead VSM activities including MIFA and MIFD for Material flow.
· Perform Line balancing and optimisation with Yamazoumi and/or
other recognised tools.
· Generate accurate and robust acceptance for existing and new
equipment, ensuring all sign offs, documentation is completed and
handed over to long term stakeholder(s)
· Implement and lead standardisation throughout the business
· Responsible for our control documentation including WI, Process flow,
PFMEA etc.
· Studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying,
and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with
equipment vendors.
· Develop alternative methods of making manufacturing practices
more efficient and cost effective; look at space constraints, material
requirements and Energy performance.
· Calculate production, labour, and material costs; reviewing
production schedules; estimating future requirements.
· Produce product and process reports by collecting, analysing, and
summarising information and trends.
· Ensure Lean Manufacturing principles are adopted and implemented
through the Value stream.
· Support review of Work Instructions / Process flow / PFMEA including
planning and action scheduled reviews.
· Support the Quality department in the creation and improvement of
Process Control Plans.
· Provide Support and resolution to NCM and Engineering change
processes
· Ensure Single point is populated with the correct level documents.
· Support IATF and HS&E audits on behalf of Manufacturing Engineering
· Feasibility studies of process improvements, bench marking to actual
and future requirements and return on investment calculations of
competing technical solutions
· Specification of technical requirements for new processes and
machinery contractors
· Execution of process development plans from the concept stage,
during development, installation, serial production and the successful
roll out of the new process
· Technical Management of the project and contractors (sometimes
multiple contractors on one project)
· Collaboration with HQ in Italy for on global plant tasks and special
projects
· Supervise the preparation of drawings and documents for production
tools, utilities, floor plans, training and machinery
· Liaison with site for Health and Safety when issues arise during new
process development
· Active role in troubleshooting to find the root cause of process related
problems during the running production.
· Process FMEA Specialist
· Liaise with all departments to drive up Quality and efficiency.
· Occasional visits to vendors, HQ and Reflexallen Plant Worldwi
- Ensure that all information regarding the production is properly
structured and monitored
- Implementing all the changes requested by the client and respecting
their terms
- Ensure compatibility with regulations, company procedures,
customers, suppliers
- Creation and implementation of all the processes necessary for the
development, production activity, elaboration of working methods
and instructions, according to the quality system of the company
- Responsible for the documentation regarding the technological
process
- To ensure the permanent optimisation of the production process,
by increasing efficiency, eliminating losses and improving working
conditions.
- Identification of the equipment needed to carry out the activity on the
production lines
- Responsible for training the segment trainer according to the
procedures issued by the Engineering department
- Support program teams and EPUs for all relevant welding topics to
achieve a successful program launch and a robust mass production
welding process
- Support program teams for Feasibility agreement, P-FMEA, fixture
design, weld torch accessibility
- Attend on SE meetings
- Line integrator (requests and assist)
- Support EPUs to solve welding process issues
- Support manufacturing (welding) trials Monitoring, Definition
and continuous improvement of welding parameters for mass
production
- Coaching of EPU teams – especially operators and weld robot setters
- Follow Eberspächer welding standards
- Attend global joining network
- Support macro sections evaluation process
- Definition of inspection process for macro sections in agreement wit
Lean Six Sigma Certification at DAF.
