Duke Of Edinburgh Silver Award has been such a rewarding and exciting experience working with my friends and peers to navigate the countryside and be self sufficient for a number of days and nights. I have developed various skills to enable me to progress to each stage. I look forward to achieving my Gold Award next.

Skills I have learnt:

• Social Skills: Activities where I was able to experience leadership, map reading and orienteering across unfamiliar Cheshire and Welsh countryside. I also enjoyed teamwork improving my ability to interact with others and work collaboratively.
• Practical Skills: Skills like cooking, completing daily maintenance tasks such as tent building, cleaning etc. independently and work with hands-on experience.
• Life Skills: Activities such as learning first aid ( I have a valid Emergency First Aid in the Workplace Certificate, valid until 2028).
• In addition my sports activities with rowing and running, taught me valuable life skills like problem-solving, time management, and resilience, which are crucial for my personal and professional success.
