I am an ambitious University student in my final year of studying Business Management at Edge Hill University. I have always been intrigued and fascinated by the world of business ever since I started watching Dragons Den or even seeing young female entrepreneurs becoming successful all by themselves. I am a friendly, motivated individual who loves to meet new people and develop my communication skills. An aptitude of mine is my ability to handle challenging situations using problem solving skills. My main aim is to learn, absorb as much information as possible and network within to gain new relationships.
As a crew member, my role was to make the drinks/food to the highest quality. I am expected to hand out the customers' orders with the best presence possible and attend to any of their needs. As a crew trainer, I am responsible for training all the new staff and ensure they are at the highest standard possible. I am also expected to support the managers and manage the floor/kitchen when needed by delegating jobs to co-workers. I'm entrusted to open up the restaurant and also help close the inside area.
I took part in the cultural exchange program. As part of my role, I provided exceptional guest service whilst maintaining safety throughout the park. I would assist guests with directions, park information and special requests ensuring a positive and memorable experience! I demonstrated effective time management and Disney's standard of excellence in guest interactions. My communication skills allowed me to interact with coworkers who were from all corners of the world!
As part of this month long internship, I learned all about below the line marketing for companies like Coca Cola, Heineken, who were their clients. I got the opportunity to give advice in briefings and help develop some ideas for Olympics campaigns. I was given an insight of everyone's roles from accounts manager to the artist at the very start of the process. This allowed me to gain new skills for example confidence when presenting the briefs and it allowed me to become more creative and have the freedom to choose what to do for the campaigns
Within this company, I gained work experience in areas of accounting and developing spreadsheets. I did cash budget sheets based on customers insurance. This provided me with an insight and helped advance my IT skills even more and provided a better understanding within the world of accountancy.
I had the responsibility of being in charge of all the marketing for my business and all the finance for it. I would deliver outstanding customer service to keep clients coming back and developed strong client relationships. Through the success of my marketing on social media, I attracted more and more clients!
