Provided proactive, person-centred outreach support to individuals affected by substance use, delivering tailored brief interventions and harm reduction advice to enhance recovery and reduce risk. Engaged vulnerable individuals, fostering trust and professional relationships to encourage sustained engagement in recovery processes. Identified and responded to safeguarding concerns, including domestic abuse, mental health issues, and risks to children, ensuring appropriate protective measures were enacted.

I actively supported service users in a residential setting with varying mental health difficulties and learning disabilities. It was crucial in my role to promote independence and support individuals with the likes of budgeting, cooking and extracurricular activities to provide a stable base for service users to move on to independent living.

Picked quality produce and products for customers, ensuring correct packing within 20-minute time frame, enhancing timekeeping skills in fast-paced environment.

I assisted dissertation students with the collection of raw data on a game reserve investigating the human-wildlife conflict in the area and the behaviour of the reserve's elephant herd. This included maintaining camera traps, categorising and analysing photographs as well as conducting game transects and vegetation surveys. I also completed a reef ecology course and open water dive course which allowed the team to do underwater scuba surveys and collect data on the mega fauna populations living on the reefs.

Whilst working a summer job at my local council I was responsible for handling and processing sensitive and confidential information. I answered customer inquiries over the phone ranging from council tax information to bereavement. Following initial customer contact I would then resolve the issues as efficiently and quickly as possible.
