Sophie Charter

Aspiring solicitor currently studying MA Law at the University of Law, Moorgate, with a BA in History and Ancient History from the University of Exeter. I bring a strong foundation in research, analytical thinking, and communication, developed through both academic study and client-facing work experience. Having balanced part-time employment alongside my studies and extracurricular responsibilities, I have built confidence in managing competing priorities and working under pressure. I am now looking to begin my legal career in a firm where I can continue learning, apply my skills, and contribute to delivering high-quality outcomes for clients.

• Dance & Performance – Dance has been a major part of my life. I have completed all graded examinations and received diplomas across multiple disciplines. I have also performed professionally in the West End in Matilda and Billy Elliot. I am also a qualified dance teacher and an assistant examiner in Cecchetti Classical Ballet.
• Cheerleading & Competitive Dance – At university, I was part of three performance teams and four competitive teams across both cheer and dance, performing at national competitions and for the Exeter Chiefs.
• Travel – Before starting my Master’s and deciding to start my career, I spent this past summer travelling the Philippines and Indonesia, embracing new cultures and experiences.
• Volunteering & Diving – I completed a wildlife conservation expedition in Costa Rica after raising £4,000 over two years. While there, I became a certified deep water diver (PADI).
• HGV Training – I’m currently completing my HGV Class 2 licence. While not career-related, with a family background in transport and logistics, I enjoy making the most of the opportunities available to me.
