My experience in hospitality has enabled me to learn and continuously improve all the necessary skills I would need for this role. My current customer service role at Montebello Ristorante has given me a lot of experience working as a team during the busy evening shifts but also independently running the restaurant during lunchtime shifts. I am able to work well under pressure and manage my time efficiently to meet strict deadlines and guarantee a high standard of customer service.
Studying drama and honing my skills as an actor has enabled me to maintain a professional, approachable and happy demeanour when carrying out my duties in a customer facing role. It has also assisted in developing my ability to empathise with teammates and customers alike. I have a fantastic ability to put myself in other people’s shoes and, in my opinion, that is essential for this role. I can use these skills to my advantage, to improve customer relations, respond appropriately to customer needs, and improve morale - benefiting not just myself but the team, the customers, and the company as a whole.
Trusted with the responsibility of independently running the restaurant during lunchtime hours, I have continued to adapt and improve my organisation skills in order to provide the highest standard of customer service to each customer, whilst managing the entire restaurant.
