VOLUNTEERING/EXPERIENCE

  • Audacious Church, Youth Worker, Manchester, 2020-03, 2024-04, I volunteered weekly for four years working with young people aged 11-17, helping to create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment. I lead games and activities and supported small group conversations where young people could open up about topics of life such as school, family, faith, and their interests. Through this, I built strong relationships with them and helped create a space where everyone felt comfortable, included, and able to be themselves.
  • Audacious Church, Production Volunteer, Manchester, 2018-09, 2024-04, I volunteered once a month in the production team during the church service which included supporting the setup and coordination of church services by preparing stage equipment, assisting the worship team, and managing smooth transitions between program segments. Operated cameras during services and managed on-screen visuals, including slide and lyric changes. I also learnt how to provide basic technical support and ensured services ran efficiently behind the scenes.
  • Ski Angels, Core Team Member, Meribel, France, 2024-11, 2025-04, I volunteered for 5 months as a Ski Angel in the Three Valleys resort, working in small teams to ensure the safety and wellbeing of skiers, snowboarders, and après-ski attendees. We provided first-response support including basic first aid, assisting injured or vulnerable individuals to safety, and offering emotional reassurance in high-risk environments. Year on year the team build strong trust within the resort community through being a consistent presence outside après venues, while collaborating with the team to manage crowd flow and using effective communication to de-escalate situations and prevent potentially life-threatening incidents.
