Sophie Allen

I am 16 years old. I live in Bridgend. I am currently a year 11 student at Archbishop McGrath High School where I am studying for my GCSE examinations. I am currently studying Mathematics, English, Science (double award), Religious education, Welsh, Design technology, Art and Media studies.

I was a member of scouts and during my years attending the meetings I gained many practical skills.

I am currently a member of South Wales Police Youth Volunteers which I really enjoy. This provides me with excellent opportunities and has taught me discipline and professionalism.

Although I have not been employed previously, I have proved that I am reliable, trustworthy and punctual as I have attended school on time and have a good attendance score. I have also demonstrated commitment and enthusiasm when attending South Wales Police Youth Volunteers and attending events as part of this. These events have also provided me with a variety of experiences. During which, I have engaged with members of the public, other staff and Police officers.

All of these experiences have built my confidence enabling me to communicate effectively and be a valuable member of my team.

I am very keen to find part time employment to enable me to use my existing skills and develop new skills.

Some of my transferable skills are:

• Excellent communication skills gained through attending scouts and also South Wales Police Youth Volunteers.

My interests include music, fashion, cars and baking.

I am a member of South Wales Police Youth Volunteers and attend this on a weekly basis.
