I have played academy football for many years including representing Wales U16's against Republic of Ireland. I am currently playing for Swansea City U19's on Friday evenings. This experience has allowed me to build a number of different skills specifically in team work and motivation. I also have a passion for photography and have learnt how to be self motivated whilst working alone when required. I can also speak Welsh confidently to a general conversation standard and would be happy to interact with customers in either English or Welsh. For these reasons I think I will be a good candidate for this position.
During my time at Gowerton comprehensive school, I achieved an A grade in English literature, English Language, Physical education, Welsh (second language) and a B in religious education, double science, maths, numeracy, photography and Welsh baccalaureate. I have completed my first year at college where I achieved an A in Photography and a B in PE. I am waiting to sit my A2 exams in May and June.
I am a volunteer football coach at Swansea city foundation. It is my responsibility to teach and help under 16's to understand the rules of football. I do this by setting up drills and games for both girls and boys to play. I have already completed my DBS check and have recently completed my FAW safeguarding, first aid and leaders awards.
From the months of November through to April 2024, I volunteered to help coach my previous football club, Pontarddulais girls. I was responsible for organising drills and exercises for the players, giving clear instructions so that they were fully able to understand and also adapt any drills that were not performed successfully whilst maintaining a positive attitude to the challenging situations. During my time there, I was able to develop some essential skills which can be transferred to a working environment, for example, planning and organising, confidence when speaking in front of large crowds and maintaining motivation through difficult times.
