As a Perfusionist, responsible for extracorporeal oxygenation of the blood during open-heart surgery and for the operation and maintenance of equipment controlling it, and to monitor patients vitals and then select appropriate equipment and technique to manage normal blood flow, body temperature, and other respiratory functions.
