As my role as a barista and front of house supervisor I provided a friendly, courteous service, always ensuring my customers were receiving the very best. My main duties included serving drinks and meals with professionalism and skill, as well as maintaining high presentation and hygiene standards. I performed cash handling duties accurately on a daily basis and was responsible for making sure orders were completed promptly and there were adequate supplies of stock. I also supervised staff and completed a comprehensive coffee training with our roasters, which gave me a lot of valuable knowledge on how to best store and serve coffee.
I facilitated interactive workshops, ensuring smooth learning experiences for all participants. This involved preparing craft materials to enhance engagement during sessions and fostering an inclusive environment by offering equal mentorship across diverse skill and ability levels. I tried to encourage and engage the students in the Irish Language and enjoyed seeing them excel over the week. I administered first aid treatment when required, delivering prompt care for injuries.
I developed and ran a number of interactive groups (including a reading group, an art club and a walking group). Used excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and interact with individuals in need. Built strong patient relationships through compassionate care and friendly rapport building. Monitored and documented client behaviours, activities and development, aiding appropriate care plan management as well as evidence for funding bodies.
My main role was providing personal care and companionship to a disabled client, who lived within the employer's home. In addition, I maintained a clean, hygienic living environment for the client by, for example, cleaning and changing their hygiene pad as well as liaising with the community nurses to ensure the health and wellbeing of the client. I aided the client with bedtime routines including ensuring the client was correctly taking prescribed medications as required to maintain optimum health. Part of my role also involved making nutritious meals for the client.
My role within Maud's Cafe was wide-ranging and consisted of many responsibilities including welcoming guests, taking orders, managing till operations, processing payments and issuing receipts, communicating with kitchen staff to maintain smooth front-of-house operations, minimising potential delays and maintaining a hygienic kitchen and food preparation areas. Additionally, I liaised with customers during meals, ensuring orders were received correctly and met expectations. I calmly managed customer disputes and complaints ensuring customer satisfaction. I also prepped, made and served food within the kitchen and operated cleaning equipment. As well as this I performed closing duties, thoroughly cleaning, sanitising and replenishing stock. Most importantly I created a friendly, welcoming atmosphere to encourage positive guest experiences.
The central duties of my role within Comerton and Hill Solicitors was to greet, welcome and direct visitors appropriately with a professional demeanour, to notify company personnel of visitor arrival and inform visitors by answering or referring inquiries. As well as this I operated the telecommunication system. An important aspect of my role was to contribute to the office's efficiency by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and catering to the needs of my colleagues to ensure there was a well organised environment in the firm.
