After leaving Racing in the Summer I had to opportunity to travel some national and international Equestrian and Health shows with the UK. Mainly selling a class 1 medical device a wearable anti-inflammatory.
This opportunity enabled me to gain confidence in myself and speaking with people from all walks of life.
I can showcase products to customers and discuss technical details whilst overcoming objections to enable a sale.
The position has also taught me how to process and pack orders, deal effectively with customer complaints and solve their issue effectively. We also deal with a number of third parties including shippers and global distributors across the world. Dan Skelton's is an international racing yard, producing and training horses for the racing industry. During my time there, my responsibilities included horse care, field management, exercising horses using an exercise walker plus any general duties. I worked as part of a team but the role also involved working alone - I am confident working in both environments. I developed my time management skills during this role as routine is very important in horse care. I also developed a keen eye for detail as again this is a very important part of caring for high value horses.
