- I established the local engineering team to sustain released products and suppliers' qualification. Besides, I also support design centers to speed up and optimize design with manufacturability consideration on multiple key projects, including BOM and specification update.
- In 2017, I changed my responsibility to Procurement Manager.
- I am responsible for managing all CMs and tester suppliers for PC division, including sourcing, cost reduction and qualification of new suppliers/CMs including background check, supplier contract and audit.
- Besides, I need to work with existing CMs ensure capacity and infrastructure is ready to support production, review capacity and prepare yearly CAPAX budget
- I manage various commodities like cover glass, metal/plastic bracket, IC, FPC, connector, switch, adhesive/glue and passive components.
- I arranged the quarterly business review with key suppliers/CMs with internal teams like Manufacturing, Testing, Quality and Planning to feedback on KPI and other communication tools (Oracle/Agile) like quality incidents and on-time delivery to reflect the situation with all CMs, and come up with the action plan for improvement
- Besides, I also handled crisis about patent inferring from a lawsuit and get it resolved in target time
- I involved several acquisitions to support the integration into Synaptics
- I prepared the saving budget and review with suppliers/CM quarterly to review and progress
