Despite having a preference for medical specializations, I worked in neurosurgery because I am passionate about learning from specialists and improving my skills in the field of healthcare. I was able to assist in some of the procedures and actively learn a lot.
I observed my consultants to see how they handled any kind of treatment, whether it was medical or surgical.
I am happy I had the chance to witness medical management in action since it made me realize how crucial it is in a surgical specialty.
Being the first person on call in my department gave me valuable exposure to a range of cases, particularly those involving neurology, which helped me learn how to function under time restrictions and pressure. I had the good fortune to attend CME programs in a variety of specializations while I was here.
I graduated from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in 2023 and I aspire to pursue my training in Internal Medicine and complete my MRCP .
