
Over my career in teaching I developed a huge range of skills through continuous CPD, learning from skilled more experienced professionals and through my own professional experience building up my knowledge and expertise.
I started off as a classroom teacher and gradually got promoted and finally became a headteacher.
Effective teaching is about interacting and communicating with people namely children, their parents and carers. It's about meeting the needs of all the children in your care including SEND.
First and foremost its about teaching a fun enriched and varied curriculum that meets the needs of the learners.
I was a good communicator, and had excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with children, their parents, staff and the wider community.
As well as their education, safeguarding and taking care of their social and emotional well being was paramount. As headteacher I was in charge of Safeguarding, Safer Recruitment, Health and Safety, Premises Management and budget. I was held to account by the governing body, local authority and OFSTED.
During my time as a headteacher I created a team of people around me who all worked to create a family atmosphere where the pupils felt cared for in their environment. The school was recognized for this in the community it served and was again acknowledged and praised by OFSTED

As the headteacher as well as all of the above I had responsibility for Safeguarding, safer recruitment, budget and premises management. I had to report to parents, governors and the local authority. I was the also held accountable by OFSTED.
