UX Team Project - University of Chester Led a team-based project encompassing every stage of the design process, from making low-fi to high-fi prototypes. I ensured to assign all my members with tasks and meet criteria that were able to showcase our ability to work as a team. This role enhanced my leadership, project management and user research skills.
Software Testing Group Project - In this project, I focused on testing, validating, and fixing the core functionality of the "Debit" and "Credit" methods within the banking application. I wrote tests to ensure that valid debit transactions correctly adjusted the balance and that invalid transactions (such as overdrafts or negative amounts) triggered the appropriate errors. Additionally, I identified and resolved a bug in the "Credit" method that prevented the balance from updating, ensuring it correctly handled positive credits and threw errors for invalid inputs. My work contributed to improving the application's reliability, ensuring accurate financial transactions, and maintaining data integrity.
Web Development Project - Designed and deployed a responsive web application tailored for tourists visiting Plovdiv, the oldest and most populated city in Europe. Developed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, the project focused on user experience, accessibility and seamless navigation across devices. The website provided key information about historical landmarks, local attractions and cultural experiences, ensuring an engaging and informative user journey. This project strengthened my front end development skills, deepened my understanding of responsive design principles and enhanced my ability to create user-friendly digital experiences.,
Databases Project - University of Chester Designed, implemented, and optimised complex database structures using SQL, focusing on efficient data storage, retrieval, and management for scalable applications. Gained hands-on experience in database normalisation, indexing and query optimisation to enhance performance and ensure data integrity. This project strengthened my understanding of relational database design, data modelling, and best practices for managing large datasets in real-world applications.
Programming Java Project - University of Chester Developed a Java-based Guitar Management Application that enables users to add, display, and remove guitars, while also supporting data persistence through file storage. Designed and implemented a "guitars" class with attributes for guitar name, brand, type, and price, along with methods for managing the guitar collection. Integrated error handling and input validation to ensure a smooth user experience, preventing invalid inputs. Leveraged file I/O to save and load guitar data, ensuring data persistence across sessions. This project strengthened my proficiency in Java programming, object-oriented design, data management, and user interaction.
