Starting as a technical coordinator before promotion to a Senior Technical coordinator then Technical Manager, I worked on the design / technical aspects on several schemes ranging in size from several hundred's split in multiple phase (such as St Mary's island sector 10, 11 &13 & Paddock Wood) to smaller bespoke rural scheme of up to 50 plots.
These all consisted of masonry construction house & flats as well as low rise RC frame of upto 6 stories.

Tendering & appointing design consultants to enable production of detailed design drawings.

Chairing design team, Package presentation & drawing review meetings.

Maintaining design program to achieve both tender issue design packages and information for clearance of planning conditions.

Register the development & issue design information to building control as well as clearance of conditions.

Managing consultants fee & invoices.

Tracking approvals & comment for third party designs such as- block & beam, flooring heating, joists & truss

Checking of design information against technical & finishes spec.

Assist the site team with day-to-day queries relating to design information

  • I managed to design team & design information on Site 11b of the South Kilburn, Master regeneration plan, which consisted of 3 blocks of between 5 & 10 story RC frame with private open space over the basement car parking, Renewable & CHP plant on piled foundations totalling 154 apartments to CfSH levels 4
  • The facade was mainly masonry with Cedar cladding and sliding sun screens on the balconies with terraces for the penthouses
  • This involved working with the stakeholder for the private sale developer (London Newcastle) & HA provide (London & Quadrant)
  • The main constraints where the adjacent railway line from Euston station and the proximity of the proposed HS2 underneath the site.

  • I was involved in appointing and managed design team for several scheme including
  • Grange Rd, Walhamstow
  • A mixed tenure site for affordable rent & shared ownership flats split into 3 small blocks & terrace houses included x1 M4(3) unit totalling 64 units of traditional masonry construction
  • The site was required to achieve CfSH level 3 with enhanced SBD standards included defensive planting
  • Walton Close, Chingford
  • A mixed tenure site of 120 affordable rented / shared ownership flats / maisonettes into 2 blocks the largest of which had undercroft parking as well as associated bin & cycle with an additional & terrace town house's
  • The facade was brick work with Trespa cladding.
