• During my current employment with Grosvenor, i have become very familiarised with the gambling industry. While my last job was in the same line of work, Grosvenor has given me the chance to become more specialised in this domain.
• My day-to-day tasks include monitoring players' spending to ensure they are staying within their gambling limit; if in any instance a customer goes over their personal limit, it is my duty to intervene and report this to the qualifying duty manager. In the casino we prioritise safer gambling and guarantee that this is enforced every day in order to stay in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• As a team we participate in emergency response drills in case of extremities such as a fire or terror attacks, ensuring a well-controlled environment in case of such situations.
• We offer an array of promotions that are implemented on a daily basis. we are expected by our managers to be aware of these promotions and carry them out when needed. Thee promotions vary from slots tournaments to a simple match play.
• Other responsibilities include include cleaning machines, carrying out an array of daily checks to ensure that every machine is working as it should be, serving complimentary drinks and doing paperwork for major players. Guests are always greeted upon arrival and as i have progressed in my job i have even built bonds with customers i see regularly. I carry out tours for new members which include taking them to our cashier and explaining the games we operate. Lastly, and most importantly, it is my duty to fix the machines when they have any issues this could mean refilling the paper, fixing a jam in the bill acceptors or calling our technicians to fix a problem that is out of our means.

• For the period of time i worked at buzz bingo, i acted as a session host. The job featured a very high pace, demanding, strenuous gambling environment so therefore required employees to be diligent.
• It was repeatedly made imperative by managers that we have a vibrant, welcoming attitude towards customers. I consistently upheld these standards and was credited for this by superiors and customers. Furthermore, i strive myself on being able to keep up with this type of atmosphere and doing it well.
• The title ‘session host’ works as an umbrella to the array of jobs that were my responsibility; these jobs included serving at the bar, clearing kitchenware from the floor, cash handling, running food from the kitchen and being a machine host. We handled tens of thousands of pounds a day and every host is trusted with this abundance of money.

• Although I only worked this job for a short amount of time, I learnt a great wealth of skills.
• These mainly included operating espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment , cleaning/clearing tables after customers had finished, taking plates of food to and from the kitchen, washing dishes and closing the store.
• Throughout all of this, I continuously learnt how to politely greet customers and can confidently say, now, that I have mastered the craft.

During my time at this job. I engaged with staff and visitors politely and professionally.

• My day-to-day activities included monitoring and maintaining our inventory of cleaning supplies, placing orders or notifying the procurement team before we ran out of stock and reporting any maintenance issues or damages to our locations. We were specifically honoured by guests for our facilitation of swift repairs and clear communications between us and our contractors to settle customer disputes.
• I also communicated with the facility managers to develop cleaning schedules that minimized disruption to daily operations such as evenly distributing the workload throughout the staff, cleaning extra rooms for last minute check-ins and deep cleans for every pet-friendly room after each stay.
• Throughout my employment, I maintained an overall high standard of cleanliness across all of my rooms and apartment complexes and rarely received complaints. As a team, we experienced a handful of sensitive cleaning situations -sometimes regarding mental health. These were all handled with discretion and professionalism in order to respect our client confidentiality.

• This was my first real job where I learnt the key factors of being an employee.
• This featured the basics like getting to work on time, not overrunning break, making bonds with coworkers and customers and maintaining the standard of work asked of me by my employer.
• It wasn't easy at first but I soon adapted to the work lifestyle and began to thrive.
