- Responsible for supporting production of method statements and risk assessments, including those related to temporary works, ensuring they are approved by supervising engineers.
- Proactively checks dimensions and design data early, raising technical queries to eliminate delays from insufficient or unclear information.
- Raises Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for all non-conformances and flags potential issues, including those arising from temporary works installations.
- Implements Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), ensuring evidence and witness sign-off is achieved at every stage. Collates and files quality records for inclusion in quality assurance documentation.
- Conducts quality control checks using internal check sheets and ensures all engineering drawings and specifications are up to date and accessible.
- Interprets and abstracts construction information from drawings and specifications, delivering clear guidance to supervisors and operatives through sketches and briefings.
- Measures material usage and provides accurate quantity data for timely material requisitions and call-offs.
- Acts as Temporary Works Supervisor for assigned sections, ensuring temporary works are properly identified, designed, checked, and implemented in accordance with Temporary Works Procedure and BS 5975 standards.
- Coordinates temporary works designs with Temporary Works Coordinator and relevant stakeholders, ensuring safe systems of work and compliance with site-specific requirements.
- Deliver precision surveying and setting out for major structural and precast components using advanced surveying equipment.
