I have also worked on a ad hoc basis to various clinics as requested and needed , including Queen Charlotte’s & St. Mary‘s , The Portland Hospital , Chelsea Westminster EPAU , The Babyscan Studio Marlow, Heybaby Colchester, Southend on Sea and Balham.
This leading clinic is run by the well known Bill Smith OBE , my long term tutor in ultrasound . I have had the honour to learn about GE machines as Bill played a big part in 3/4 D software development and also high grade scanning for Endometriosis , fertility issues and ultrasound support for recurrent miscarriage patients .
It is here that I honed my skills for Assisted Conception scanning as we looked after many patients who were having treatment abroad but wanted to have scans on home ground until it was necessary for them to travel for egg retrieval.
Here patient confidentiality was very much to the forefront as high profile patients were looked after us .
Lead sonographer at a leading private clinic, setting up a patient flow and reporting system , with experience in obstetric, gynaecology and fertility scanning and assisting/reporting in Hystero SonoSalpingography .
Invited to set up ultrasound services for the Army Personel’s Women’s Hospital , I was responsible to work within a given budget to set up a brand new ultrasound department with real time scanning and reporting / archiving systems and train staff . A most wonderful and unique experience .
prior to this post and after returning to UK , I worked at the Whittington Hospital ,including training and mentoring DMU students , from 1984-1988 .
This was followed by many placements as long term locums, while also having quality time with my growing young family .

It is due to the need for this flexibility that I like to do sessional work as I absolutely love ultrasound and looking after patients and want to keep up my scanning skills
I regularly attend ISUOG, Fetal Medicine Foundation , Samsung and Mindray lectures and try keep up with current education trends .
