Summary

I am a compassionate healthcare professional committed to providing high quality patient care. I have worked in A&E for around 2 years which had a high patient demand and involved me to follow strict patient protocol. For example, for every patient admitted, an A-E assessment was completed by myself for patients which involved a thorough top to bottom assessment of the patient, including clinical observations so that i was aware of the patients baseline thus, providing me with a direction on where and when to commence treatment, after discussion with the multidisciplinary team.

I am able to collaborate successfully with the multidisciplinary team to also to meet the needs of a busy unit. I am diligent and have demonstrated success in emergency patient care, and thrive when working under pressure. For example, in resus we have our high priority patients that are very acutely unwell hence, the nurse to patient ratio is 1:2 which I have been able to manage and help sustain their clinical status as I have IV therapy management and can also cannulate and take venous blood samples. More treatments for resus patients involve, having emergency blood transfusions and also high oxygen flow management which I am also skilled in, in order to maintain patient vitals.

I am a nurse with 3 years of experience in diverse healthcare organization. I can adapt to care plans and coordinate patient care through interdisciplinary collaboration. My skills and good time management has prevented breach times within A&E by approximately 88% and allowed patients to be either discharged to the ward or home and prevent overcrowding in the department.

i am also skilled in pain management and intervals on how much a patient can have within a 24 hour period to prevent the risk of them overdosing and also ensure comfort needs are met.
