I work in Cheder as a main class teacher, which I very much enjoy. I enjoy the wide range of subjects and dealing with the students. I also enjoy the challenge of working with any obstacles that arise.

In this job, I work with high school age girls who struggle in certain subjects. I go over the work with them and teach any gaps that they are missing. The subjects include math, chumash and english.

I was an LSA for one child every Sunday throughout the past school year. I would undertake a variety of activities, including: sensory play, interactive play, nature play, as well teaching Kodesh basics of the week (including Sedra and Kriah.) As the child had additional needs, it was a challenging that required a lot of patience and focus.

In this role, I assisted the main teacher with Maths; my priorities here was to ensure that two weaker students understood the subject and helping them understand and complete their work. As well, I ran a small Maths group for 2 - 4 weaker girls to teach them Maths in an individualised setting. This required me to use different methods to continually check where they were holding and respond to their needs.

In this role, my job was to undertake being an LSA to girls between the ages of 12-15 to help them in a wide range of subjects in which they were weak in. This included Chumash, Maths and English. It was a one on one lesson, where we mainly worked on clarifying the work where the class were holding, and to ensure the girl was on level with the class in her work. This required me to use a range of methods to teach each student the required lesson.

In addition to that, I also assisted in a classroom, where I explained to the weaker students anything they were unclear about in the teachers instructions. I also assisted the teacher by printing out work for her, and any other small job she required.

Furthermore, I was also asked to be the main teacher of a class for a few lessons. However these were practical lessons and the girls had been assigned their work. My job was to clarify instructions, ensure the girls were focused on the work, and occasionally help out when they were stuck.
