GP rotation

• Inviting patients for blood tests for example to check thyroid levels
• Going through DocMan documentation such as clinic letters and discharges and carrying out medicine reconciliation where appropriate
• Speaking to patients confidently and competently about their medications for clarifications on communication sent

Hospital rotation

• Rotating between dispensary, clinical and procurement
• Dispensing medications including CDs
• Responding to and solving telephone queries
• Using paper charts and performing medication histories as well as POD locker checks

• Learning the Aseptic way of cleaning
• Passing validations to ensure safe working practice for making drugs in the unit
• using settle and contact plates to check if there is any kind of growth in the clean rooms and isolators
• Aided in the recommissioning of the Aseptic unit from the Maidstone site to the Tunbridge Wells unit

• In charge of over the counter sales including advising which products are suitable for simple ailments under the supervision of the pharmacist
• Ensuring safe dispensing of medication and being in charge of the dispensing of the MDS trays
• Being in charge of the weekly CD count
• Being involved with the end of month procedures
• Dispensing of methadone via the methadone machine
• Working towards and achieving targets
• Establishing great relationships with GP surgeries to ensure patient safety and enhance health outcomes
