As a Sister I take a management role and responsibility for a team ensuring patient care is delivered in a safe, effective and timely manner, whilst collaborating successfully with the MDT to meet needs of busy units.

I am an accomplished Senior Nurse with experience in developing, leading and monitoring patient care programmes for positive clinical outcomes. Supportive, focused and attentive for adaptive staff and patient support in high-pressure environments using skill mix, effective delegation and training. Maintaining high standards through problem solving and resourcing by risk assessing and evaluating to optimise patient outcomes and improve clinical services.

I believe it is important to communicate effectively to deliver smooth care continuity through productive teamwork but I am also able to work autonomously through assessment and evaluation to deliver care.

I am a dedicated, proactive and highly motivated individual able to respond to changing department demands and able to adapt to new environments. I have gained expert clinical knowledge and skills in Pain management and surgery to work with initiative and further develop skills whilst acting as a role model and assist junior staff to further develop their skills.

I am able to plan and prioritise to meet patient requirements and uphold safe, productive department operations whilst maintaining adherence to trust policies for compliant patient care through problem solving, organising and effective time management.
