• Responsible to Carryout Inspection in accordance with ITP and Project Specifications.
• Incoming material inspection with regards to the actual traceability against manufacturer's certificate and customer requirement.
• Checking for consistency with P& I.D, Piping Plan and Isometric Drawings to size, rating and material.
• Inspect pipe joints and support assemblies as per standards including marking, fit-up, weld visual.
• Ensuring the welding activities as per company approved WPS and welder qualification.
• Ensuring all available equipment's are calibrated and has valid certification.
• Familiar with different Welding process like GTAW/ SMAW/ GMAW and welding Electrodes & Filler Wires.
• Compile and verify daily welding production reports and ensure compliance to NDT requirements.
• Verification of weld repair works.
• Radiographic film interpretation and evaluation.
• Review of field NDT Reports and spools release before Hydro-testing.
• Witnessing NDT activities (UT, MPT & DPT) and Monitoring PWHT, Hardness & PMI.
• Contribution in forwarding the PQR test coupons for destructive tests like tensile tests, face, and root & bend test, macro, hardness etc.
• Inspection and confirmation of welding consumables as per specification.
• Verifying the consumable storage, baking and its issue control etc. on daily basis.
• Final dimensional inspection as per approved drawings.
• Responsible in performing daily inspection and documentation as per approved inspection test plan and controlling the pipe laying activities.
• Witnessing the procedure qualification record (PQR) as per PWPS.
• Witnessing the welder qualification test (WQT) as per approved WPS.
• Visual inspection of completed weld and verification of related documentation.
• Review and Approval of Dossiers for Pre-Test line walk, Pressure testing and Reinstatement Line Walk.
• Perform Pre-Test & Reinstatement Line walks, and Punch List Preparations.
• Conducting and inspecting the holiday detection test.
• Ensure that all quality documentation and inspection reports are collated, endorsed and compiled correctly.
• Notify the non-conformance identified during site inspection and recommended corrective- Measures to site supervisor through QA engineer.
• Maintain the records of inspection and testing till the end of contract.
