Throughout my working life, I have always been a self-motivated, proactive, hardworking and conscientious individual, who always goes the extra mile. In 2003 I graduated with a (BA Hons) degree (2:1 classification) in Community & Youth studies (from the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences) and since then have become a qualified Substance Misuse Practitioner, Probation Service Officer and Registered Independent Domestic Violence Advisor.
I am currently in a leadership role as the Manager of the Domestic Abuse Project at the Women's Centre, which provides support for women who have, or are, experiencing domestic or sexual abuse.
This role has further developed my Contract Management experience from initiation stage to execution and there are critical path activities for the project, which require obligations and timebound targets to be met, which need overseeing daily to ensure that targets are met in a timely manner. My role includes many responsibilities to ensure effective service delivery and continual development of the project.
I have been responsible for devising processes to collate data for returns, whilst being mindful of the importance of data protection at all times. In-depth reports and data returns and analysis are required for each quarter and end of year.
I have extensive experience of co-ordinating daily tasks through strategic staff and resource planning, though am proficient at managing crisis situations when they arise, identifying problems and providing informed solutions.
My time management is of a very high standard, multi-tasking as required and I have proven skills at motivating team members to plan their days strategically and efficiently.
Resilience is one of my prominent key skills, which initially developed whilst working within the Criminal Justice System, then is equally reflected in the ever changing structure of my current workplace, as it evolves constantly in a positive manner.
Since 2020, I have seen the team expand from one full-time Project Worker to a full team of 5 Project Workers, a Senior Project Worker and an Administrative Officer.
I am currently looking to develop all these skills in a new and challenging environment and would welcome the opportunity to discuss this with you further, at your convenience.
Many thanks and kind regards,
Sharon Edwards
