My role as a supervisor consists of a lot small but effective tasks, when new staff are hired i help train them to uphold the companies standards of service. If I'm the only supervisor on shift it is my job to independently run the shift, supporting & supervising staff, & also monitoring the bar and restaurant ensuring guest satisfaction & resolving any issues that arise, during service i have to keep an eye on the stock control & making sure the cellar is in order & at the end of the shift i need to cash up the tills and the safe making sure all the totals are balanced. I have also planned and hosted a handful of successful events, such as, breakfast with Santa, Easter egg Hunt, The pub summer party, & many music events, and these have really helped too attract new customers and improve the pubs atmosphere.
My main job may be to provide great service to our customers but that doesn't stop at pouring them a drink, I love to help with the housekeeping, when guests are staying over the look of the room is what will make or break there stay, which is why i always make sure to dust everyday, and to thoroughly check through the weekly deep clean list, housekeeping isn't just cleaning, when we have a guest staying for multiple nights you have to make sure there room is refreshed every morning, whether that be fresh milk or even just a towel, if their looked after they'll come back. within the housekeeping role I've learnt how to count, organize & order linen, and most importantly I've learnt to meet our guests needs by delivering perfect services during their stay.
