Local Authority – Building Surveyor

Work quality inspections of a wide variety of school retrofitting / maintenance schemes for Surrey County Council (SCC) and Bracknell Forest Council. Assessment of work progress and the quality of workmanship recorded on a regular basis and issued to all parties. The production of supporting photographic schedules recorded both the progress and quality of workmanship. Supporting a senior surveyor assisting in the End of Defects inspections preparing certificates and snagging lists. Undertaken Revit modelling for (SCC) large commercial property to allow for design team internal remodelling works, showing existing and proposed layout, windows and doors renewals, roof replacement and general adaptation works internally to suit client requirements and fit for purpose.

Local Authority - June 2022 to September 2023 – Building Surveyor

Undertaking measured surveys to a wide variety schools based in Surrey for refurbishment of WC's and phase plans for works to be carried out for quality management. Producing section details, elevation and proposal plans to fit for purpose. Refurbishment work brief preparation and supervision of external consultants in delivery of various housing estates refurbishment projects such as Kitchen and Bathroom renewal programmes. Carrying out weekly inspections, challenging contractors with issues on site, works remaining and programme. Working with Surrey County Council, developing design and specification for the Walsh CofE Junior School refurbishment project, comprising of the internal adaptation of four WC's.

Central Government - May 2022 to Present – Building Surveyor

Conducted condition and Net Zero assessments of a wide variety of buildings throughout the UK for the GPA. The inspection was undertaken on tablets recording overall condition, any required remedial works and potential Net Zero intervention could improve thermal performance. Following the on-site survey, where existing plans for sites didn't exist or were not reflective of current layout, identify discrepancies and amendments were made or development of new plans as necessary.

Blue light / MOD - April 2023 to Present – Building Surveyor

Undertaking space planning options appraisal reflecting client requirements alongside detailing all necessary refurbishment options on drawings across the MOPAC estate. Coordinating with a multi-discipline design tea

m, carry out design and specification work for Plumstead Police Station.

For a MOD client, conducting a measured survey of a large roof recording the position of all MEP and safe access equipment. From the onsite survey information assisted in the design development of the tender documentation.

Stratford Waterfront East Bank - LLDC - June 2024 to Present – NEC Supervisor

4 building sites (Sadlers Wells, BBC Studio, V&A Museum, UAL/LCF Uni Campus) Project value £1.1bn

The works overseen in terms of QA are: fire stopping, (inc fire

doors). Various types of flooring installations, (Pre-pour screed,

void formers and post screed, raised access flooring), Floor finishes,

(timber & vinyl), Joinery, (rooms & corridors), Dryline partitions,

Architectural metalwork, Steelwork, (stairs & ladders), Decorations,

(plaster, tiling & paint), IPS cubicles.

Apprentice Electrician - running new cables to properties inc double sockets, lighting, external security lighting, thermostatic extractor fans and isolator switches

Apprentice Plumber - changing the water flow and layout of the bathroom, washroom and kitchen

Produce measured surveys and proposals for private clients; producing proposals for rear/side addition extensions, flat conversions & rear outbuildings.

Working as an assistant to shadow senior surveyors whilst progressing into working
independently since gaining my degree at Kingston University


Producing Party Wall Surveys, Measured Surveys, Site Inspections, Schedule of Conditions as well as Photo Schedules to site visit and weekly/monthly inspection reports. Working alongside the practices architects, producing plans, making
amendments and carrying out design tasks. Produce 2D floor plans, elevations, sections, construction details, working /Building Regulation drawings and site plans.

I started working at Brodie Plant Goddard in February 2016. I was working at BPG part time whilst attending Kingston University full time to finish my last year of my Building Surveying degree. After graduating from University, BPG took me on at a full time position.

Working as an assistant to Senior Surveyors as well as Architects. Working alongside the team to produce proposed plans as well as carrying out design tasks and altering
revision drawings.

Main CAD operator within the office, self taught and experience in AutoCAD 2013 to present and REVIT 2013 draftsmen/technician and able to Produce and understand all
2D/3D floor plans, elevations, sections, construction details, working/Building Regulation drawings, M&E layouts, landscaping/site plans, construction drawings. To Produce
Planning Portal applications as well as having a good knowledge of Building Regulations
I have been at Gardner Partnership since leaving Harris Academy Sixth Form March 2013.
