Summary

I am a highly driven doctor with two years of clinical experience in dynamic urban and rural NHS hospitals, focusing on exceptional patient care in internal medicine, general surgery, and general practice. I am now eager to transition into medical affairs, where I hope to leverage my clinical experience to bridge the gap between clinical practice and pharmaceutical development. My goal is to effectively communicate scientific information and contribute to initiatives that ensure drug efficacy and safety, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes.

Work History

Resident Medical Officer

NHS North Bristol Trust
08.2023 - Current

In this role, I provided comprehensive care across cardiology, orthopaedics, and general practice, focusing on clinical decision-making, pharmacotherapy, and patient outcomes. I managed complex cases, particularly in cardiovascular and musculoskeletal health, and optimized medication regimens based on an in-depth understanding of drug mechanisms, efficacy, and patient adherence. In General Practice I took responsibility for the long-term management of chronic conditions, carefully titrating medications to achieve optimal therapeutic effects while minimizing side effects. Throughout these roles I took on a leadership role within the our daily board round meetings, collaborating and communicating effectively with allied health professions to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care.

Resident Medical Doctor

NHS Somerset Trust
08.2022 - 08.2023

In this role, I provided dedicated care to acutely unwell patients across acute medicine, general surgery, and geriatrics, ensuring timely interventions and continuity of care in high-pressure settings. I managed high patient volumes, prioritizing cases based on clinical urgency, and collaborated closely with specialists across departments to deliver seamless, multidisciplinary care. My responsibilities included stabilizing critically ill patients, managing complex co-morbidities, and adjusting treatment plans as patients’ conditions evolved. I regularly interpreted and analyzed multiple forms of clinical data which includes blood results, vital signs, and imaging findings, using these to make informed, evidence-based decisions tailored to each patient’s needs. Working within legal and regulatory frameworks, I upheld patient safety and confidentiality, including applying Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) to protect vulnerable patients. This experience strengthened my ability to perform under pressure while balancing clinical demands, legal obligations, and the need for effective communication within the healthcare team.
