Shaezi Smith

Ive been working as a Team Leader for a year and six months. During my time as a Team Leader i have helped open two new stores and gained many transferable skills and expanded my knowledge in customer service.

• Organise shifts by selecting team members based on the skills they posses and ensure the targets of the day are met.
• Train new staff members and create a supporting work environment.
• Work towards targets and standards whilst balancing sales and budgets.
• Reached record sales after poor performance in the previous year.
• Insuring accurate accounting at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Working hands on with customers, and resolving conflicts amicably.
• Providing information and advice to enhance customer experiences.
• Maintaining knowledge of current sales and products to inform customers, and monitor trends in customers behaviour to boost sales.
• Responsible for opening and closing the store
• Ensuring adherence to company policy by all team members.
• Maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conducting regular performance reviews to identify areas of improvement for each team member.

Ive been with Home Bargains for three years and started my journey as a Team Member. After 18 months i progressed to Team Leader/ Supervisor.

As a Team Member I was selected by the Area Manager to work in four different stores, improving and assisting the stores standards. Through this experience the standards were improved and I gained the ability to be adaptable, resilient, work well under pressure, hit standards, and work within a team.

• Helped management on daily task to understand what was required and to gain personal skills in the work place.
• Worked on different shift types to expand my knowledge and become equipped in all areas of work.
