- I led a programme which provided weekly drama workshops for primary school children across schools in Oxford, including directing pupils in their summer production of The Wizard of Oz.
- I worked in school holidays helping out with “The Bridge” initiative as one of three volunteers from my school year. This involved facilitating lessons to gifted children from primary schools across Oxford, leading the children in discussion and collaboration, and having the privilege of running outdoor drama games and workshops in the afternoon.
- I volunteered to co-direct a production of ‘The 39 Steps’ for Lower School Drama under the guidance of Al Miller, the previous Resident Director at MCS and the Oxford Playhouse, gaining further experience in classroom management and creative and critical thinking.

- As a member of the school Welfare Committee, I was delegated the responsibility to represent my houseroom at school for 2 years after putting myself forward for the role. The Welfare Committee programme entailed of monthly meetings with the Head of Year, and allowed detailed discussions about the overall welfare and state of the school, in terms of behaviour, curriculum, and any open issues people were facing. I learnt to involve myself in difficult discussions on the issues brought up, and share my thoughts candidly, employing a sensible, forward-thinking attitude. My suggestion that it was unfair for Year 7s to have a formal exam period within their first term, owing to it establishing an unnecessarily pressurised academic environment within the school, led to a decision to scrap the exams entirely - a change I am very pleased to have been involved with.
HOBBIES AND PASSIONS
- Writing — I am currently writing my second play, hoping to propose it to take to the Edinburgh Fringe 2026 for the Bristol University Drama Society.
- Acting and Directing — At school I adapted a TV episode into a play and directed it for a performance in front of the whole school for a competition. I have subsequently both directed and acted at undergraduate level.
- Film-making and photography— I have created a student short film at University and premiered it to a large audience at a black-tie event. I also video with a 1960s Super 8 cine film camera to document and cherish my free time with friends and family.
- Hockey — I was captain of the Second XI Hockey team at my school, and I currently play for the Fifth XI for the University of Bristol.
