In accordance with the individual care plan, support patients to meet their nutritional needs by:
• Assisting patients in menu selection, liaising with the team nurse regarding
special diets, being sensitive to cultural requirements where appropriate.
• Serving patients' meals and beverages and assisting less able patients to eat
and drink.
• To maintain/monitor food and fluid intake.
In accordance with the individual care plan, support patients to meet their personal hygiene and dressing needs by assisting patients with dressing, washing and shaving.
Assist patients to the toilet and give bedpans and commodes as needed.
To facilitate patients to meet their own hygiene needs.
Ensuring that all bed areas are prepared to an agreed standard prior to the patient's admission.
