
Dedicated undergraduate student specializing in parasitic plants with proven skills in seed conditioning, germination, and RNA extraction. Expertise in conducting germination assays and in-depth knowledge of germination pathways in Arabidopsis and Orobanche species. Currently researching the roles of PLT-2, TPL, and BABY BOOM genes in the Kalanchoe plant at the University of Manchester. Multilingual in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Japanese, enhancing communication and problem-solving abilities. Committed to advancing research in plant biology and building collaborative relationships with peers and mentors.
Researched at the Group of Plant Chemical Genetics headed by Prof. Yuichiro Tsuchiya. My project was confirming a possible Low Affinity and High Affinity germination pathway model in Orobanche Crenata. Second project was testing compound H1B-6 as a possible chemical for suicide germination in Orobanche Crenata.
