I am a second year biomedical science student, studying at London Southbank University. I have a great interest in human health, disease and medical research. I am currently working on my lab technique as well as building a strong foundation in background scientific knowledge, in order to aid me in a future career in the healthcare profession.

In October 2023, I was extremely lucky to have the opportunity to gain some part time work experience at King's College hospital, in the cardiac department. There I observed a variety of different medical procedures and learned how they were done. This allowed me to further develop my knowledge and witness real life heart conditions and operations conducted in an actual hospital setting. This helped me become accustomed to what a life in the medical profession would truly entail.

Medical procedure examples included:

-Electrocardiogram

-Echocardiogram

-Supine bicycle stress echocardiogram

-Pacemaker surgery
