- Working at a busy container storage/transport terminal in Stourton, I started as a traffic planner, planning routes for HGV’s up and down the UK.
- As my career progressed I moved into a yard role which I felt I was better suited for at the time, however at a later stage in my career with another hauliers I moved back into planning. I started doing surveys on damaged containers, ordering parts that were needed, doing stock control for parts, doing inspections on machinery, general yard duties.
- After this is acquired my 7.5t FLT counterbalance licence, straight after I did my empty container handler ticket which enabled me to drive ECH lifters up to 44t.This became a main part of my job for just over a year.
- After the closure of the yard at Stourton, I moved to Wakefield Europort rail terminal in Normanton and acquired my ticket to drive reach stackers.
