Summary

I am currently studying A-Levels at Burnley College to forge a pathway to further education. I have a strong and genuine interest in history and am drawn to a wide range of topics within the subject. On a personal level, I am interested in history, politics, music and film, as they are a big part of my life and I enjoy activities and conversations linked to all of these areas.

Alongside my interest in history, I have also undertaken a minor engineering course at Burnley College. This experience has allowed me to develop practical skills, an understanding of technical processes, and an appreciation for precision and problem-solving. It has broadened my skill set beyond academic study and demonstrated my ability to adapt to different subjects and environments.

I work best when given a clear structure and set of expectations, as this allows me to approach tasks in a focused and organised manner. I am highly capable of working independently, maintaining concentration and meeting deadlines, but I am equally confident contributing within a team. I communicate effectively with others, remain approachable, and value cooperation to achieve shared goals. I take pride in behaving professionally at all times and in following instructions and procedures carefully to ensure work is completed to a high standard.

During my Year 10 work experience placement, I gained valuable hands-on experience in a practical, task-focused environment. This opportunity helped me develop key skills such as time management, attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions . It encouraged me to take responsibility for my work and reinforced the importance of reliability and consistency.

Overall, my enthusiasm for learning, combined with my strong work ethic and willingness to develop both academically and practically, makes me a committed and capable candidate.
