
An accomplished, dedicated radiographer working in my local NHS Trust seeking to extend my skill set onto a new role. My current senior role has provided me with a variety of competencies in CT, leadership and problem resolution when leading the general department and training and assessing students.
My senior role has provided me within extensive CT experience both during the day and out of hours. As a department, we significantly reduced the waiting times for our CT orders, especially for cancer waiting patients caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
I have worked as the duty radiographer on many occasions, helping to resolve department issues and queries from staff, colleagues and patients.
Assessed students, supporting progression of undergraduates and fostering development in radiography.
I took on a role as a fire warden to ensure the department meets health and safety standards.
My Senior role has equipped me with a range of skills Working as the duty radiographer has provided me with the ability to make decisions effectively whilst dealing with many issues at one time I have resolved queries from my colleagues, other members from different departments and patients whilst working under pressure I have learnt to become resourceful, prioritise tasks and deal with equipment breakdowns and incidents
Similarly, my role in CT has enhanced these skills and provided me with unique competencies such as careful scan planning, 3D reconstruction and organising workflow
Obtaining experience in other modalities such as endoscopy and vascular imaging has provided me with knowledge, flexibility and adaptability
