Skills

Throughout my years in education and work, as well as some of the hobbies and interests I pursue, I have acquired many different skill sets and gained knowledge which will help me excel within the workplace I have a strong passion for aviation and have always wanted to be behind the controls of an aircraft, originally, I applied to become a pilot in the RAF, unfortunately I was short of the score needed in my computer-based assessment Therefore, I believe having the chance to fly drones, which is becoming the future of aviation is an incredible opportunity Fortunately, I've also been able to fly with a friend of my dad who has his own private plane, it's a small Piper Cub, he showed me over the different controls and even let me fly for a short while

Organisational Skills - throughout high school and sixth form my organisational skills have become very strong by dealing with many different deadlines and assignments for tests all at the same time for various subjects This meant I had to organise my work into more prioritised sections to make sure the important work is completed and I can get good grades on assessments

Teamwork and Communicational Skills - from a young age I've been a very sporty person, I started playing rugby and football at 5 which imbedded me with strong social skills It helped me be able to communicate with teammates so we could work out the best strategy to ensure we can secure the win These sports also taught me discipline, even after a loss I knew to get through it and go again the following week Having a strong relationship with teammates was vital for success, being able to get along with the whole team made it easier to work together I think this is also very important within the workplace with colleagues too

Time Keeping Skills - sixth form and work has made me become better at time keeping and therefore reducing my chances of lateness Leading up to my A-Level exams I had to make sure I was covering all the content I was less knowledgeable on This meant not just focusing on one subject, but evenly distributing the time I had on all 3 subjects, this meant I could carry out a high standard of work on all of them and not just one My time as a greenskeeper helped with time keeping too, often raking bunkers could take hours, therefore I had to be efficient, thoroughly executing the job but also completing it in a fast manner so I could meet my bosses next wishes I believe good time keeping skills are necessary as it reduces the need to rush work and stops sloppy mistakes from being made
