Work History

Project Manager

Coop
01.2017 - Current
  • I worked at Coop through Blue Arrow, then gained a position with Coop in January 2017 in the transport department. My role was working as a transport support assistant preparing the documents ready for the drivers to take out with them as they deliver the goods, handing the documents out, debriefing the drivers once they have come back into the depot, allocating parking spaces for them to put the vehicles, dealing with them when they go to de-kit and empty the vehicles store returns etc. Previously I was doing a step up role as a team manager, my role is to support the drivers and fellow team managers, dealing with accidents, problems at stores, looking at canbus for the driver, learning more about tacho’s and tacho laws, and learning more of a management role. Then in August 2018 I gained a position as a Team Manager managing a team of drivers of 28 ensuring that they are compliant at all times, conducting 1:1’s working together with shift manager and other team managers to ensure a smooth daily operation. Recruiting drivers and other developmental roles. In April 2019 I supported the implementation of setting up Wellingborough’s Transport Department when the Depot Opened. In September 2019 I gain a position on the Implementation team, this means supporting the Organisation and depots to successfully deliver projects across the whole of the network from designing, Testing, working with people outside of the Coop, training colleagues and staff, then supporting when the Projects hit the depots for a smooth role out, problem solving and then how we can improve on what we have learnt and implemented for the next role out a another depot. I have been involved in Coops biggest project they have ever seen which is RBT, working with the sap team to design what coop wanted as a program that would work for them. Then went onto test the systems from end to end working with IT to ensure that all the areas worked from ordering to the stock landing in the depots then being shipped to the stores and them receiving the goods, then to the goods in receipt going back to the suppliers. Also making sure that everyone was complaint. Once we knew everything worked I then supported the depots for 18months in the go live of the project across the network, from training the system out to trouble shooting. I have also ran the paragon live project leading a team of 8 people to support 2 depots at a time with the training and roll out of the project with the depots, then supporting them remotely once we had finished the onsite support. Then in August 2021 I was successful in gaining a position setting up Biggleswade depot as the transport lead where I had a team of 6 people from across the network to lead and support with the set up of the brand new depot to do this we worked with the BAU transport team when they were appointed into position to get everything up and running ready for the depot to open, as part of this we trained all the staff and drivers then supported the team in the ramp up. We also worked with the warehouse to ensure a smooth operation and handover. My role was to ensure that my team had direction, support materials, organizing where all the new staff were visiting when going other sites when they started as we were not operational at the time and making sure they had everything they needed for the visits. Developed and initiated projects, monitored performance. Meeting project deadlines, made decisions independently and collaboratively on Transport/warehouse related challenges, planned, designed and scheduled phases for large projects. Maintained compliance with regulatory parameters in complex projects with overlapping policies. Maintained clear communication with precise technical writing to document and inform critical processes, led project teams through design, and launch process. Drove team success through shared vision and recognition of quality performance.
