I am currently working as a bank nurse at the Oaks care home, Colchester. Working in Elderly , dementia and end of life care.

Duties include safe administration of medications, wound care,completing risk assessments and care plans to ensure person centred care and ongoing reviews to ensure resident safety. Leading the care team to provide high standards of care maintaining safety and dignity

I am currently working for nurseplus as a registered nurse in local nursing homes, working mainly in elderly care including elderly nursing, nursing dementia, End of life care, adults with physical disabilities and school nurse. This includes

• Administering medications and treatments to patients following prescribed healthcare plans.
• Maintaining accurate patient records, documenting care provided and progress observed.
• Monitoring vital signs and symptoms, responding promptly to any indications of deterioration.
• completing risk assessments and writing careplans to ensure patient centred care
• Delivered palliative care, providing comfort and support to patients in end-of-life stages.
• Communicated with patients and families to inform current condition and treatment options.
• Led patient handovers, communicating essential information to colleagues at shift changes.

• As a Deputy Manager, I assist the Home manager in overseeing the daily operations of the home.
• I provide leadership and direction to care home staff including Nurses and support workers, domestics, kitchen and maintenance.
• Conducting supervisions, ensuring mandatory training is completed and mentoring care home staff to ensure staff are competent and adhere to best practices, promoting a person centred approach to care.
• I have experience with pre admission assessments, liaising with discharge planning and social work teams, Completing FNC and CHC assessments.
• I am involved in incident reporting and investigation, reporting to safeguarding and CQC.
• Care plan auditing and overseeing that any actions are completed by the nursing team.

• As a Clinical Lead Nurse, I was responsible for overseeing the running of the Elderly frail unit.
• My role involved leading and managing a team of nurses and carers, providing clinical supervision, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• I have experience working and liaising with multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans and ensure person entered care.
• I have conducted audits to comply with quality and governance.
• My role required strong leadership skills, effective communication.
• I have experience in doing rotas and ensuring adequate staffing levels.
