
I have a career history of over 24 years in Higher Education. I am skilled in a variety of computer systems, and I am an enthusiastic quick learner who is able to handle a multitude of tasks, while remaining calm under pressure. I am an adaptable and versatile worker, with a proven record of reliability .
I stayed within the Faculty from 2009, but line management changed in 2012 and the role changed name, and became a part of the central Disability Team.
I support all disabled students and applicants within the Faculty.
I liaise with academic staff and professional services staff to ensure that students have reasonable adjustments in place, and any issues they have with their studies can be resolved.
I have worked with autistic students training them to used Brain in Hand (through Unitemps in addition to this role).
I have mentored international students with ADHD (through Unitemps in addition to this role).
I have supported the Wellbeing team with Single Point of Access appointments.
I support the Healthy DMU social media accounts.
I give student induction talks as and when required, including in other Faculties.
I support Disability Advice and Support and Wellbeing colleagues with using the C4C system efficiently as I was part of the project transfer from CRM to C4C.
I run a weekly drop in session during term time for students as well as appointments that can be booked in advance.
Reading, films, Karaoke, socialising. Currently studying an Open University degree in Forensic Psychology.
