I am a caring, compassionate loyal and enthusiastic person. My Christian principles and ethos is foundational to all that I do. I have travelled to various countries and served people in different capacities and cultures, and this has enabled me to develop a flexibility in adapting to the cultures I have been introduced to.
I am passionate about motivating, and empowering both students and adults in my environment, as well as the staff I lead. This approach is crucial for cultivating strong relationships. My work involves safeguarding, problem-solving, supervision, and providing emotional coaching and pastoral care and support. I also offer basic counselling, interventions both on-site and off-site, attend meetings with other professionals and help to organise various meetings and events.
Additionally, I have helped to take the lead in workshops for parents of children in the Educational Needs (SEN) sector, providing valuable information, promoting well-being, and fostering networking opportunities.
It is essential for me to empower young people/ staff, equipping them with the necessary skills to enhance their confidence and self-belief. This support helps in fostering positive changes in individuals, guiding them toward the direction they need to pursue in their personal and professional development.
I believe that every individual possesses inherent value and purpose, and with the right mentoring and support they can unlock their full potential When guided appropriately, individuals can discover and harness their true abilities, enabling them to thrive
I am passionate about overseeing projects and developing both staff and teams My experience in safeguarding and adherence to correct procedures has shaped my management styles which is non judgemental and service orientated I hold the belief that actions speak louder than words; however, combining both can lead to meaningful results In my sector, we encounter daily challenges, and I approach these using the model of the Christian ethos and values as guided by the School's policy
On a weekly basis, I chair meetings with the staff members that I supervise
I have taught a life skills food technology class and due to its success and popularity with students, I was asked to teach AQA GCSE food science module
In challenging situations, I am adaptable and flexible and work towards finding an appropriate solution
