Bartender

The Palatine Public House
05.2022 - 04.2024
  • My role here is as a full time bartender. My main responsibilities include opening and closing the business on a daily basis. Working alongside the busy and popular restaurant.
  • My role involves working with customers, taking orders and preparing drinks to order all whilst maintaining the warm and welcoming environment that the business takes pride in offering. Whilst working here I have developed a professional but warming relationship with the regular customers who I take the time to catch-up with during quiet periods, this has been mentioned by higher management as a good aspect to my working day as this entices repeat custom to the business. Also during quiet periods my main responsibilities include general cleaning of the venue to a high standard in preparation for the busier weekend periods.

Bartender

Jet LTD
07.2020 - 05.2022
  • I was hired as a bartender for Soul Bowl where I would take customers’ orders as requested, paying attention to detail and assessing customer preferences. At this venue they had a happy hour on cocktails so I needed to be fast and efficient with my work whilst making sure orders were correct on order tickets. Due to my success in this role, I was soon promoted to Assistant Manager of their new bar, Johnny’s bar in Morecambe. Within my Assistant Manager role I ensured the shifts were run efficiently, adhered to the challenge 25 policy, and maintain the bar to a high standard. I made sure that the staff I worked alongside are happy and dealt with any issues on site in a professional manner. I kept the workforce busy to make sure the venue looked and felt great for the customer. Other duties involved cashing up, weekly banking, and managing stock levels.

Bartender

The Royal Hotel
02.2015 - 07.2020
  • I was approached by the company owners to start work here due to my previous experience and skills. My daily tasks involved serving customers to a high standard. It was mostly locals who came here, so I got to know their drink and would have it ready and on the bar as soon as they walked through the door. I was able to build a great rapport with the customers. I also checked customers into the hotel and took food orders. I had to be flexible in my role as there were many parts to it. I worked under pressure in a very busy bar, serving multiple customers at once. I had to have a good memory and think very fast. I am very reliable and was left to run the bar and organise music acts when the manager was away, so I had a lot of responsibility within this role.

Bartender

The Royal in Heysham
02.2013 - 02.2015
  • This pub is in the heart of the village and I gained a good relationship and rapport with the locals that came in on a daily basis. I would serve on the bar and work front of house as a waitress. I would greet all the customers and create a welcoming atmosphere. I would also give advice on drinks to suit the customer’s tastes. Other duties included keeping the bar clean and tidy and well stocked up. Changing barrels and gas when required.

Beauty Specialist

Superdrug
11.2010 - 12.2012
  • My department here was to maintain cosmetics. My duties were to replenish stock, scan in deliveries, and re-merchandise using planograms. I also served customers to a high standard where I had feedback relayed to management. I also recommended products to suit the customer’s individual needs, which required me to have excellent product knowledge. This was so I could recommend products tailored to the customer’s needs.
