I am passionate about the delivery of high quality adult ADHD services and patient centred care. I have used my evidence based knowledge of the diagnosis and pharmacological management of adult ADHD to support the training and development of other health care professionals in this specialist area and I have co-authored several journal articles.
As the lead non-medical prescriber for the Bolton adult ADHD service I am responsible for delivering high quality diagnostic assessments and ongoing management of adult ADHD. I work closely with the Consultant Psychiatrist and the rest of the multi-disciplinary team to provide evidence based care and to support them with any medication related queries. I am also involved in the clinical supervision of other practitioners within the team and the development of medication related procedures and guidelines. My role also involves delivering training on the assessment and diagnosis of adult ADHD to other practitioners, including junior doctors who are completing special interest sessions.
I worked as a pharmacist independent prescriber in the specialist adult ADHD service, completing comprehensive diagnostic assessments and adult ADHD and medication titration clinics.
Whilst in this role I worked worked as a clinical pharmacist for a range of mental health inpatient wards including general adults, CAMHS, later life and memory service and forensic wards.
I also developed and implemented the role of a clinical pharmacist within the community mental health teams.

This role involved the provision of clinical pharmacy services to inpatient wards in a range of specialities including cardiology, respiratory, intensive care and paediatrics and the provision of clinical dispensary services.
