• Sexual Health & HIV Care

Extensive experience in assessment, diagnosis and management of sexually transmitted infections within nurse-led clinics. Provide HIV testing, counselling, baseline investigations and ongoing monitoring. Support prevention strategies, including PrEP, PEP, and DoxyPEP, to reduce onward transmission.

• Advanced Clinical Assessment

Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, including history-taking, risk assessment, physical examination, and diagnostic reasoning. Make safe clinical decisions regarding treatment, prescribing and referral within my scope of practice. Facilitate informative patient consultations to improve understanding of health conditions and treatments.

Document all nursing activities meticulously for proper record-keeping and reference. Analyse patient data and results to accurately assess treatment outcomes.

• Independent Prescribing (V300)

Qualified Independent Nurse Prescriber practising in accordance with Royal Pharmaceutical Society prescribing competency framework. Assess contraindications, review medical history and prescribe safely while monitoring treatment response, side effects and adherence. Thus increasing treatment effectiveness.

• Microscopy & Point-of-Care Diagnosis

Perform microscopy for immediate diagnosis of gonorrhoea, non-specific urethritis (NSU/NGU), bacterial vaginosis, trichomonas and candida. Immediate diagnosis enables prompt treatment and reduces infection transmission.

• STI Screening & Blood Borne Virus Testing

Undertake comprehensive sexual health screening, including testing for chlamydia, gonorrhoea, trichomonas, Mycoplasma genitalium, HIV, syphilis and hepatitis A, B and C. Provide pre- and post-test counselling and risk reduction advice. This also includes diagnosis and treatment, and partner notification through our provider service SXT.

Carry out male and female genital examinations and clinical assessments, including bimanual examination for suspected PID.

Provide cryotherapy treatment for genital warts.

• Contraception & Reproductive Health

Trained in contraception assessment and prescribing, including oral contraception, emergency contraception and contraceptive implants. Experienced in sexual and reproductive health consultations and patient education. Provide sexual health advice, including safer sex, contraception and medication adherence. Willing to undertake further training in IUD fitting and cervical screening.

• Vaccination Programmes

Deliver and prescribe vaccinations including HPV, Hepatitis A/B, MPox and 4CMenB (gonorrhoea prevention). Promote preventative healthcare and public health vaccination strategies.

• Safeguarding & Vulnerable Populations

Extensive experience in recognising and escalating safeguarding concerns relating to children, young people and vulnerable adults. Worked within youth justice services supporting vulnerable adolescents and contributing to multi-agency safeguarding processes.

• Neurodevelopment Awareness

Experience in identifying potential neurodevelopmental needs during health assessments within Youth Offending Services using CHAT framework. Developed referral pathways for ADHD and ASD assessment. Professional and lived experience supporting neurodivergent individuals.
