Motivated administrative assistant, excited to return to work after a career break. Exceptional customer service skills with a proven ability to anticipate needs, address situations and mitigate conflicts. Strong organisation skills, professional demeanour and committed to providing high quality administrative support and maintaining smooth office operations.
I am seeking to return to work after a break now my children are in their teens. I am a customer focused, reliable, detail oriented person, always happy to go above and beyond to ensure the best result.
I am active in my community, and during my career break I have been involved with several charities close to my heart. I organised two sponsored Toddle Waddle events at my local Mother and Child group, raising over £500 for Meningitis Now.
I also organised two Pamper & Shopping Ladies' nights, sourcing location, arranging stallholders, promotion, ticket sales, donations and gift bags, for the Campbell Burns Metabolic Trust. I am a trustee and secretary of the Campbell Burns Metabolic Trust and attend regular meetings focusing on fundraising ideas and events, where I utilise my experience and skills to the maximum benefit.
When my children were small, I was the Chairperson of the Friends of Broom Leys, a rewarding and exciting role. I was responsible for booking events, hiring outside contractors, stallholders, requesting donations, arranging meetings and agendas, and ensuring all monies raised are counted, banked and recorded correctly. I initially found the role challenging, however I loved using my organisational skills to move the group forward, exploring new ideas and introducing new members.
I play cricket for my local club, attending regular training and matches, and volunteer on the committee, helping with the day to day running of a community club, and assisting with organising events to raise money for the running of the club and local charities, as part of our drive to give back to the community.
I have enjoyed my career break, but I am excited to return to work, looking for a new and exciting role, using the skills I already have and building upon them.
