Summary

I am a dedicated, patient and empathetic teaching assistant with a passion for supporting student learning and creating inclusive classroom environments. I pride myself on being an extra pair of eyes and hands within the classroom. I am organized, proactive, able to intervene, support and challenge in a timely and unobtrusive manner that ensures engagement and appropriate achievement for all abilities. I am currently undertaking my course placement in a year 3 class with a key responsibility being to plan and carry out interventions with the SEND children. This has required me to show high levels of patience, empathy and emotional resilience, along with strong communication skills and the ability to manage challenging behaviour. I highlight, share and celebrate the children’s success, whilst also offering a safe environment for them to share uncertainties and worries, giving advice and guidance pastorally. I am proactive and resourceful and always use my initiative to anticipate the teachers needs as opposed to waiting to be asked.
