Summary

Having studied Theatre, Musical Theatre and Music Performance at both secondary school and at college, I learnt the dedication and commitment it takes to form a strong team. I am strongly dedicated to any role I am given, whether it is leading a group or receiving orders I am always ready to give my all in whatever task I am given. I am extremely friendly and approachable by any member of the public and I think that my warm and welcoming attitude would bring a lot to any position. I am good at juggling multiple tasks and working under pressure. Having visited various different places with my chosen subjects at college, such as performing for the chamber of commerce at Britannia Stadium, I know what it takes to look professional and smart and to be ready to represent my team.

Learning Support Assistant

Prendergast School
2021.01 - 2023.01
  • I worked at Prendergast Secondary School for just over two and a half years as a Learning Support Assistant, specifically working in the SEN Department, and as the Autism Champion for the school
  • During my time at Prendergast I learnt a lot about what it takes to work with children, as well as focusing my learning on ways to help/ work with children with learning needs such as ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition), ADHD, OCD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia as well as children with mental health difficulties such as depression and anxiety
  • I also gained experience working with children with a difficult home life, children in care, or children who have experienced trauma
  • My role included duties such as supporting children in lessons, providing 1 to 1 support in self planned sessions, running a successful reading intervention class to 11 students, and being a mentor to children whom I would have weekly catchups with
  • I found a great love for working with children in my role at Prendergast, and have recently finished this role in order to focus on teaching more music/ musical theatre related studies and to put my music degree to proper use.

Waitress

Wagamama - Flagship Restaurant
Covent Garden
2017.08 - 2018.08
  • You have to be able to connect with your guests, to understand what they want and how to make their experience an amazing one. Working in a restaurant where most days there is a queue going down the street, you have to learn to juggle multiple tasks and to make sure every customer is happy.
  • The service I have learned to provide is fantastic and will no doubt help me in any other position I choose in the future. Wagamama prides themselves on providing 'Kiezen' service. This translates to 'Good Change' in Japanese. This means we are down to earth, friendly, and approachable people who can make any customer feel welcome and at ease when dining with us. They do not follow any guide lines for your typical kind of robotic service.
  • Maintained excellent level of service in busy and demanding restaurant environment.
  • Regularly communicated with kitchen and bar staff to maintain smooth front of house operations, minimising potential service delays.

  • LCCM - London College Of Contemporary Music, Performance, 2018-01-01, 2021-12-31, Studying at LCCM was a fantastic experience for me where I got the opportunity to perform with many different people. As part of the performance degree we worked in different bands every term which gave me a great insight into what it take to be a working musician and to work as part of a team. I also gained more confidence in performing on my own and with music theory. For my final project I wrote and produced a 5 songs EP, working on my own original music and musicianship. I left with a final grade of a 2:1 which I was very pleased with.
  • Stoke Sixth Form College, BTEC Performance, 2014-01-01, 2016-12-31, It was clear from my results in college that my hard work and dedication paid off as I finished with six distinction stars from all my subjects. I also achieved my C grade for my GCSE Maths, and a Distinction in my Contemporary Dance course. I received excellent feedback from both teachers and students at the performances I did for the college about my level of professionalism and dedication to my classes.
  • Wolstanton High School, GCSE, 2009-01-01, 2014-12-31, During my time at Wolstanton High School I learned a number of different skills not only in my lessons but outside of lessons as well. Since I have always had a passion for English and Theatre, I picked up great communication skills and became very strong in speaking to and helping others inside and outside of school. The work we did with younger children in primary schools and also getting to meet and see their parents helped me to develop social skills with people of all ages and also taught me how to act professionally around people when I was representing my school.
