  • My main roles in the kitchen was preparing hot and cold meals for the residents and making sure any special requests or dietary requirements were met. I would confirm with the other chefs in the kitchen the menus for the week ahead so we knew exactly what was needed on the day and to check we had all correct ingredients in.
  • I would also cook meals making sure everything was cooked to the correct temperatures checking all regulations were met in the kitchen also along side the first chef of the kitchen.
  • I was also in charge of ordering stock for deliveries and putting this away when it come in as it needed to be sorted correctly.
  • I would also complete general house keeping jobs in the kitchen to make sure this was tidy at the end of the day for the people on shift the next day.
  • I also was promoted to head chef for a period of time which has made me stronger as a team player as I was able to control how the kitchen was ran.
